Seamless Gutter Installation
Seamless Gutters Formed On Site at Your DFW Home
We roll-form every gutter run in your driveway, cut to the exact length of each eave, so the only joints are at the corners and downspouts. Texas Metal Panels installs 5- and 6-inch seamless gutters in .027 or .032 aluminum and painted steel for homes across Dallas, Fort Worth and the suburbs.

What are seamless gutters?
Seamless gutters are continuous gutter runs shaped on site from a coil of pre-painted metal, so a 42-foot eave gets one 42-foot gutter instead of five pieces spliced together. Sectional gutters from a store come in short lengths joined with connectors, and every one of those joints depends on sealant that North Texas sun eventually cooks.
How are seamless gutters made on site?
A trailer-mounted roll former turns flat coil into a finished K-style profile in minutes. Here is how a typical install day runs:
- Measure and plan. We measure each eave, mark outlet locations, and confirm 5- or 6-inch sizing from the roof area each run drains.
- Check the fascia. Old gutters come off and every board gets probed. Soft wood is replaced before anything is hung on it.
- Form each run. Coil in your chosen color feeds through the machine and is cut to length, so the run arrives at the ladder in one piece.
- Hang and pitch. Hidden hangers are screwed through the fascia every 24 inches or closer, with about 1/4 inch of fall per 10 feet toward each outlet.
- Corners, outlets and downspouts. Miters and outlets are riveted and sealed, downspouts are strapped to the wall, and extensions carry water away from the slab.
Most homes are finished in a single day, and we water-test every run before we leave.
What separates a careful install from a fast one?
- Screw-in hidden hangers, not the spike-and-ferrule nails that work loose as fascia expands and shrinks.
- A gutter apron or drip edge tucked behind the back of the gutter so water cannot run down the face of the fascia.
- The front lip set slightly lower than the back, so any overflow spills away from the house rather than behind the gutter.
- Downspout straps anchored into mortar joints, which are easy to patch later, instead of drilling the brick face.
- Very long runs pitched from the middle to two outlets, giving the metal room to expand on 100-degree afternoons.
Which seamless gutter material should you choose?
For most DFW homes, .032-inch aluminum is the sweet spot: it is about 18% thicker than standard .027 aluminum, holds its shape better against hail and ladders, and still never rusts. Painted steel suits homes that take repeated hail, and copper is a design choice for half-round systems on historic or high-end homes.
| Material | Dent resistance | Rust risk | Relative cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| .027 aluminum | Fair | None | $ | Budget projects, low-hail areas, homes away from trees |
| .032 aluminum | Good | None | $$ | Most DFW homes; our usual recommendation |
| Painted steel (24-26 gauge) | Good to very good | Low if cut edges are sealed | $$-$$$ | Repeat-hail areas, matching steel roofs and siding |
| Copper (half-round) | Fair; soft metal | None; weathers to patina | $$$$ | Historic and custom homes |
Size matters as much as metal. Six-inch K-style gutters hold about 67% more water per foot than 5-inch and pair with 3×4 downspouts; our gutter sizing guide for DFW homes walks through the roof-area math. If you are weighing profiles, read K-style vs half-round gutters.
What colors do seamless gutters come in?
Gutter coil comes in dozens of factory baked-enamel colors, so you never paint it. Most owners match the gutter to the fascia and roof trim, then match downspouts to the brick or stone so they blend in. In HOA communities we bring color samples for your architectural committee submittal.

Which gutter spec holds up to Dallas and Fort Worth hail, wind and heat?
Heavier metal, closer hanger spacing and fewer joints. Hail dents thin gutters, straight-line winds pry loose ones off the fascia, and summer heat breaks down the sealant that sectional systems depend on, so each part of the spec answers one of those.
- Hail: Texas has led the nation in major hail events for 11 straight years (NICB/Verisk), and hail 2 inches or larger fell on more than 235,000 Texas homes in 2025. On April 28, 2026, preliminary reports put stones up to 4.5 inches near Cresson and Godley, southwest of Fort Worth. No gutter comes through giant hail untouched, but .032 aluminum or steel shrugs off the smaller storms that crease .027.
- Wind: the May 28, 2024 storm brought gusts near 80 mph across DFW. Screw-in hangers at 24 inches or closer, driven into solid wood, keep gutters on the house when spike-hung systems peel away.
- Heat and freeze: DFW averages about 20 days a year at or above 100 degrees, then can sit below freezing for days, as it did for 89 straight hours in January 2024. Seamless runs remove most sealant joints, and long runs get room to move.
- Clay soil: outlets and extensions are placed to discharge at least 5 feet from the foundation, because concentrated runoff on expansive clay is how slabs start to move.
If a storm already dented your gutters, we photograph and measure the damage for your adjuster and check the roof edge at the same visit through our storm and roof repair service. Coverage is up to your policy, and we never waive or absorb deductibles, which Texas law prohibits. We serve the whole metroplex, from Fort Worth and Burleson to McKinney and Mesquite.
How much do seamless gutters cost in Dallas-Fort Worth?
As of 2026, the typical installed price for seamless aluminum gutters is about $4.00 to $9.50 per linear foot, with most 5- and 6-inch jobs between $5.50 and $7.50 per foot. Some national cost guides quote $7 to $14 per foot. A 125-foot system commonly runs $700 to $1,190 at the basic level and can pass $1,900 on large homes or with premium finishes.
For a quick estimate, multiply your eave length by the per-foot range: a ranch home with 160 feet of gutter works out to roughly $880 to $1,200 before extras. These are market ranges, not our quote. What moves your number:
- 6-inch gutters and 3×4 downspouts instead of 5-inch and 2×3
- .032 aluminum, steel or copper instead of .027 aluminum
- Story height, roof access and the number of corners and downspouts
- Removing and hauling away old gutters
- Fascia repair, gutter guards or buried downspout drain lines
Your written estimate itemizes each of these, and the finished system is covered by our lifetime warranty.
When should you choose seamless gutters over other fixes?
Choose new seamless gutters when the old ones leak at joints, are dented, undersized or pulling away, or when you are replacing the roof. If the gutters are sound but keep clogging, or the real problem is the wood behind them, a different service is the better first step.
- Gutters fine, but clogged every spring and fall: add gutter guards instead of replacing the system.
- Gutters sagging because the boards are soft: start with soffit and fascia repair; new gutters on rotted fascia will pull loose.
- Re-roofing with metal: plan gutters with your metal roofing project, since metal sheds water faster and usually calls for 6-inch.
- Matching new steel siding: seamless steel gutters can be color-matched to seamless steel siding.
- Store-bought vinyl sections: fine for a shed, but vinyl turns brittle and sags under years of Texas UV.
Seamless Gutter FAQ
Seamless gutter questions from DFW homeowners
How much do seamless gutters cost per foot in Dallas?
As of 2026, seamless aluminum gutters typically cost about $4.00 to $9.50 per linear foot installed in Dallas-Fort Worth, and most 5- and 6-inch jobs fall between $5.50 and $7.50. Heavier .032 aluminum, 6-inch size, steel, second-story work and fascia repair push a job toward the top of the range.
What are seamless gutters made of?
Most are aluminum coil with a baked-on enamel finish, in standard .027 or heavier .032-inch thickness. They can also be formed from painted steel, which resists dents, or copper, usually for half-round systems. Aluminum is the common DFW choice because it is light, never rusts and comes in dozens of colors.
Are seamless gutters worth the extra cost?
For most homes, yes. Sectional gutters have a joint every few feet, and each one relies on sealant that dries out under DFW heat and UV, then drips onto the fascia and foundation. Seamless runs only have joints at corners and outlets, look cleaner, and usually outlast sectional systems.
Is .032 aluminum worth it over .027?
In hail-prone DFW, usually yes. The .032-inch coil is about 18% thicker, so it resists small hail, ladders and limb strikes better and stays straighter between hangers, for a modest per-foot premium. On a sheltered single-story home with little tree cover, .027 can still be a reasonable budget choice.
How long does seamless gutter installation take?
Most homes are finished in one day, including removing the old gutters, forming new runs on site, hanging, sealing and water-testing. Large two-story homes, extensive fascia repair or buried downspout drain lines can add a day, and we schedule around rain so sealant cures dry.
Do seamless gutters ever leak?
They can, but only where joints remain: corners, end caps and downspout outlets. We rivet and seal those points with sealant made for aluminum gutters, pitch every run so water never stands at a joint, and water-test the system before we leave. If a corner ever weeps, resealing it is a quick fix.
